Lots of Canon Rebel Cameras

Because the announcement of the Canon T4i is right around the corner, mostly likely within the next two-three weeks.  Now this doesn’t necessarily mean that the T1i, T2i or T3i become instant crap – in fact I imagine for many folks I will still recommend those cameras – they are excellent and as the price has gone down, a real value.   What we don’t know is what the T4i will offer – expect some serious video upgrades as it seems likely that it will be bundled with a new 18-135 lens that has a silent autofocus making it much better for video.  It is also likely that he sensor will be upgraded, if not this would be the fifth DSLR to use the same sensor over the last two years.

Possible features of the new Canon Rebel T4i

  • Wifi Enabled like the new Canon HS530
  • GPS like the not as new Canon SX230
  • Constant Autofocus during video (Nikon DSLRs have had this for almost 2 years, it is not great but I could see Canon saying “ME TOO”)
  • Slo Motion Video like the Canon HS300
  • Digic 5 Processor  also like the Canon HS530
  • Touchscreen – I hope not, I am not ready for this one
