Maybe you were a bit disappointed in your holiday present haul – but being the “mostly” adult you hid it well – If one of the items on your list was a drone – Rejoice – big price drops have made some of the DJI offerings VERY affordable.

The difference between the Standard and Advanced? The streaming connection for First person View (FPV) of your camera. The $799 Advanced model uses Lightrbridge, a DJI proprietary connection that offers excellent range and low lag.  The $499 Uses wifi which typically has less range, is a bit slower and when the connection is lost takes longer to reestablish.  Also suffers more in wooded conditions.

Don’t forget to Register your new Drone with the FAA 🙂

Visit photorec.tv/fb to share your favorite photo from the last week and check out all the submissions! It's a great way to get your work seen! * Captured with the Sigma 150-600 C as I wrap up my comparison vs the Tamron 150-600
Deal Alert - http://photorec.tv/80dsale This is an unofficial price drop and probably won't last long! I am working on a video right now about why the 80D #dslr is still my pick for best all around camera at this price point and still a better pick versus the new #canon #77D. The owl photo I posted a few days ago was captured with the #80D at ISO 5000
Another from last weekend's #owlstravaganza (I am so glad that hashtag exists) I hope to head back here this weekend with my kids to see these Short-eared Owls hanging out and as I mentioned earlier it is a great testing ground for my Sigma 150-600 vs Tamron 150-600 G2 comparison I am working on. * Captured with the Canon 80D and #tamron #150600g2 ISO 5000 (it was darker than it looks)
