Going back to basics we went with Framing for this weeks challenge and your photos were great! Framing is a great tool to have for shooting as you can create a better composition and drive focus for your photo. With Toby on a McKay Live trip there was no live show this week but Roy and Scott have picked your best framing photos.

The weekly challenges are still going! You can find all the past challenges on the PRTV page along with next week’s challenge #prtv_panning. The first challenge Roy worked on for photorec.tv actually. Like always to enter post your photos on Instagram before noon next Wednesday with the tags #prtv and #prtv_panning.

With Toby in Cuba you can still get guru help for this weeks challenge from his recent video.

Scott’s Winner:

The curve frame is unique and perfect, I love the proportion split between to two subjects. Fantastic shot

Scott’s Honorable Mentions:

I love the way the frame and the shadow isolates the subject – great environmental portrait.

The leading lines which then leads you to a framed subject are great, nice candid shot – very well done

Roy’s Winner:

Shot in-front of the steps Justin would have a strong photo. Using the framing of the trees and stairs frames the bridge and draws more attention to it in a natural way.

Roy’s Honorable Mentions:

Using a doorway is a great method of framing and Korey shot this perfectly. With added light dropping from the side it gives a nice fall off making the subject stand out from the background.

Well, on a positive note you can’t say perfect timing doesn’t help. Aaron’s photo of this bird is a good use of a window frame to draw focus to his subject.
