The Big Sur Adventure Series - The Promised Land: McWay Falls • Nestled into the idyllic oasis of McWay Cove is an isolated beach, where inland water flows down in a stream. This natural waterfall makes up McWay Falls. This photo doesn't even come close to capturing the beauty of this special place. • McWay Falls is a "beauty out of ashes" sort of story. Prior to 1983, the waterfall that makes up McWay Falls ran off directly into the ocean. But, an event in 1983 changed the landscape into what it is now. • More of the story to come in the next post...
