Sony has just announced THREE new FE mount lenses - The Sony 24mm f/2.8, the Sony 40mm f/2.5, and the Sony 50mm f/2.5. They will cost $599 and are tiny (6 oz each) and sharp! I am excited that Sony is keeping those of us that value portability in mind while providing good manual control and high-quality weather-sealed glass. I am happy to recommend these based on my testing but there are some more budget-friendly options that get you close in quality if you are willing to make some sacrifices. Let’s summarize - You want a sharp lens, a good-looking lenses that perform. Here you go!  As we discussed though this is a crowded space but sony is trying to stand apart with some of the smallest, lightest, and best performing glass. I love all the choices. If you value the physical controls and their adorably portable size and weight gesture forward and you can rest easy knowing they will work well on the higher megapixel cameras.  if you want more budget-friendly options - they are out there there, some in similar quality but you will be making other sacrifices.
