Reader Questions:

My most confusing question EVER
I’m hearing some noise on the Nikkor 18-55 mm lens during autofocus of still photos with my new Nikon D5300. I see a lot written about noise during video but is some noise (particularly w low light High ISO settings) normal?

Thoughts on following combo: Sigma 18-35, 50mm prime and Tamron 70-200 VC USD?

What do you think about the Canon 70-200 IS V1?

Menzie's Penstemon or as the nerds say - Penstemon davidsonii ;) Found these little purple flowers on the way down from Paradise in Mt Rainier National Park and thought they made a nice foreground to the beautiful and still snowcapped peak in the distance. Captured with the GH5 and 12-35 f/2.8 Lens #lumixloungegh3
Rainy Day Reflections of Seattle's coolest public library - I almost said coolest building but the new Amazon spheres are crazy cool. I like living in the future - now if we could just ecotopia this place up all would be peachy!
Upper Sunbeam Falls - Powered by melting snow(seen at the top of the frame) - Captured with GH5 and 12-35 f/2.8 lens 0.4 second exposure.

  1. Don’t you think it would be better if there was a higher quality of image resolution on the live-view image on a D5500 and the up and coming D7100 latest up grade than having touch screen, because, for me that would be more useful than any touch screen personally. One thing Samsung and Sony Cameras give you over my Nikon D5300 and D7100 , is great quality screens. The images on them are pin sharp. Touch screen won’t help me focus as much as a really pin sharp screen would …. or even being able to see what’s on the screen on a bright sunny day. I have added a Kamerar VF-4 Plus 4+ Universal LCD View Finder to help correct that issue. But it only high lights the poor quality of a Live-view screen with it 3x magnification.so hows that going to work with a touch sceen? I know it as a flap for touch screen but it’s no use with the flap down..or is it me thats got this all wrong?
