Led by a lifelong Icelandic photographer and designed with carefully selected overnight stays, this trip is all about maximizing shooting time and minimizing repacking. This is a carefully curated collection of locations that I’ve put together with Páll, your local guide and lifelong Iceland resident. It blends well-known gems with lesser-known stunners to create a truly unforgettable and photogenic Iceland experience. This list paired with the always important McKay FLEXIBILITY means we will put you at stunning locations in the best possible light!
⛰️ SNÆFELLSNES PENINSULA GEMS- Kirkjufell's iconic mountain & waterfall - Probably the most photographed mountain in Iceland
- Svöðufoss waterfall - On a good day it is a perfect foreground for Snæfellsjökull glacier
- Svörtuloft lighthouse - Standing on the edge of a basalt cliff with sea stacks and arches
- Lóndrangar’s dramatic sea cliffs - Home to hundreds of sea-birds
- Dagverðará deserted farm - The ruin of an abandoned farmhouse in the middle of a field
- Hellnar village - Has a unique cliff and a gorge on the coast, wonderful basalt formations
- Arnarstapi’s coastal lava formations - The Gatklettur arch and a couple of ravines in the cliff
- Bjarnarfoss waterfall - A tall waterfall dropping of the edge of a basalt cliff
- Black church at Búðir - The unique old timber church which offers a variety of shooting angles
- Hraunfossar waterfall - Beautiful waterfall with great autumn colours in a birch forest
- Þingvellir National Park’s Secret Waterfall – A hidden gem framed by ancient lava flows
- Historic Þingvellir Church – A rustic landmark set against sweeping autumn landscapes
- Brúarfoss – The "Blue Jewel" of Iceland, with its stunning turquoise cascade
- Geysir & Strokkur – Capture the explosive power of Iceland’s geothermal heart
- Gullfoss waterfall - One of the big waterfalls in the south of Iceland
- Skógafoss, Seljalandsfoss and Kvernufoss – Iconic waterfalls with unique perspectives

- Full days of shooting with instruction including aurora photography instruction
