Instagram Winners - Shiny

This week the challenge was left to the patreon group and they chose shiny as your challenge for the week. With that you guys did a great job with finding the shiniest objects you could or being a bit creative with the idea. With Toby on a McKay Live trip there was no live show this week but Roy and Scott have picked your best shiny photos.The weekly challenges are still going! Using a lake to reflect and make a back lit portrait was a good job of thinking outside the box. Not everyone that shoots takes the time to notice the small things and this is a good example of just that. It's a nice balanced shot with a shallow depth of field that puts all of the focus on the subject.

Can't get more shiny then a bit of hidden treasure per say. Greg did a great job of finding a bit of shiny booty to photograph. Going for a shallow depth of field with the large gem was a good choice as it puts the focus on the forefront. A lot of people shooting product photography try to get the whole item in crisp focus when sometimes its best to put the showstopper in focus and let the rest fade out.
