Fully committed to the shot with the water- it’s a neat take that makes me think of summer and beer - perfect. I may suggest to dial back the water just a bit and the buried can looks a little dented but all around good shot!

Solid classic holiday chocolate shot though I would have liked to see one of them out of the wrapper.

Roy’s Features:

Really nice bokeh and it forces the focus on your bracelet with the charm that stands out.

A great pick by Heather with her own straps, which you can check out at http://amzn.to/2BduEx8. Using the concrete to lead the eye works for this and lets the strap pop against the muted colors.

You can’t beat shooting in Belize for some great product shots and having the tail loop over worked nicely.

A great shot with these berries, the red really pops in front of the green background.

Blue hour makes for some really nice complementary color with the sunset fading off.

Using some gels for a self-portrait really works well for this challenge.

Really nice shot with excellent B&W editing!

Love the framing with the green leaves for a great shot.

Love the light, the sharp focus on the eye and those bokeh xmas lights.

Roy’s Features:

A great location for a portrait session and some awesome cosplay really makes for a nice photo.

This is a great portrait but I love the prop! Giving your subject something to interact with in a photo gives your eyes something to track and makes for a interesting subject.

While I'll always argue for more christmas lights this is a nice family shot with cute hats.

Well placed - good white balance!

Nice look at the cooking but I would put finished product first.

Great tight shot - fill the frame with the subject YES, hint of repetition YES!

Roy’s Features:

Something a bit different with this neat dutch angle shot. Just make sure when shooting food to try not to let things intersect in the background but the soft focus works nicely.

It’s that time of year and this little tray of cookies fits the bill for this week’s challenge. I like the little wire lights around the rolling pin, they are a really easy way to add some interest to a photo and cheap as well. Buy some on Amazon!

A nicely lit shot, I really like the tin tray and newspaper as props to keep everything really clean.

It’s a nice dark shot and by lowering the black point you see a lot of the nice film grain as well.

Something a bit different with this creative edit, pushing it darker really made the colorful bits pop

Water drops and soft petals of this succulent make for a neat photo.

Simply Succulent My second entry for this week’s photo challenge “texture” - I just love how different the world looks through a macro lens. This was an ugly little neglected succulent that I came across - but with a macro lens only it’s beauty shines through. I didn’t even notice the water drops on the plant until I looked at my LCD screen in review mode - an added bonus! Hibiscus always have this interesting texture and throwing the photo to black and white really let you play on that for some really defined texture in this shot.

Sweet Revenge. . . . This week’s photo challenge is, of course, “Halloween” and Halloween is always a little over the top in our house so I couldn’t wait to click away. This is my daughter, a cute little human pincushion, looking super psychotic as requested. Funny how good she is at looking psycho? Something tells me she’s had lots of practice lol. Anyway, this was taken in my home office/playroom, with a black muslin backdrop, soft box to camera right, reflector on left. Edited in LR and PS where I added a gradient map and linear gradients to add blue tones, a texture background overlay to roughen it up a bit, and some creepy voodoo font text. Despite the flipped plane this is an interesting story with a double exposure

My entry for the #prtv_doublexposure challenge. After spending hours trying to find the right photos to create a workable double exposure photo I eventually scrapped them all because they just didn't work. Then I found a photo of an RAF pilot that I took at the Photography Show and used it along with a photo of a modern single prop plane. I kind of had this idea of old and new if you know what I mean. I wonder what the World War II pilots would think of todays modern aircraft? Anyway, this is about the best concept I could come up with. Also, see if you can spot the mistake! I love this high contrast double exposure - so well done!

Like you said the grass makes for a neat beard, managing to incorporate the two images in a way that seamlessly connects them makes for a great shot this week.

It’s a nice creative shot that reminds me of a ship in a bottle. It was a good idea using a high key shot as the base to keep the shot nice and light.

It’s a nice flowery shot to go with the girl and I like that you gave the flowers more contrast where it intersected.

Great symmetry and the tunnel really pulls the focus center to you and the horse.

Drinks counted too this week! It’s a nicely done photo, connecting elements in a process like these beans & coffee can work great.

We like to keep this challenge a bit open and what's better than a portrait with food! On the plus side it looks like a fridge works as a decent light source.

Food, glorious food! Canon 5d3 + Samyang 14mm 2.8 This lens is a fully manual lens and as someone who has less than perfect vision, it is hard for me to get my subject perfectly focused as I have to rely on my aging eyes rather than the camera. Like with Toby’s flashlight shot something people tend not to think about is lighting, or using lit, foreground subjects. I like this milky way shot and the yellow from the statue works well against all that blue.

Your framing here, the light - there is something that pulls me in and I love it.

I puzzled over this shot for a minute- I couldn’t understand where you got this large still water from - then I realized the fountains are OFF. I have never seen this shot and that's a awesome + this is a beautiful shot!

Roy’s Features:

While more of a classic shot it’s a great long exposure with the sunset. You exposed it just enough where the monument itself still has a bit of shadow detail with the lights hitting it.

A great city scape shot showing the monuments towering over town. I like that you went B&W as it focuses more on structure then the brightly colored city lights.

I like that you thought out of the box! It’s a neat shot but you can clone out those leaves in the corner.

Roger continues to impress with his tack sharp shots of birds in flight - not an easy task. Love the birds eye in the shot.

Roy’s Features:

Getting up early pays off for some great early golden light and I love the contrast between sky and mountain.

A cute shot! Keeping it to the bottom left in composition gives it a lot of open space and lets the focus fall on the eye.

Shooting in full sun isn’t necessarily a bad thing and this nice shot helps a ton with the haze coming in that day.
