A great location for a portrait session and some awesome cosplay really makes for a nice photo.

This is a great portrait but I love the prop! Giving your subject something to interact with in a photo gives your eyes something to track and makes for a interesting subject.

Hibiscus always have this interesting texture and throwing the photo to black and white really let you play on that for some really defined texture in this shot.

Like you said the grass makes for a neat beard, managing to incorporate the two images in a way that seamlessly connects them makes for a great shot this week.

It’s a nice creative shot that reminds me of a ship in a bottle. It was a good idea using a high key shot as the base to keep the shot nice and light.

Drinks counted too this week! It’s a nicely done photo, connecting elements in a process like these beans & coffee can work great.

We like to keep this challenge a bit open and what's better than a portrait with food! On the plus side it looks like a fridge works as a decent light source.

Food, glorious food! Canon 5d3 + Samyang 14mm 2.8 This lens is a fully manual lens and as someone who has less than perfect vision, it is hard for me to get my subject perfectly focused as I have to rely on my aging eyes rather than the camera. Food doesn’t just sit on a plate, we interact with it. This is a nice shot putting focus on an element vs trying to shoot an entire plate of food.

The lighting works great with architecture giving them a nice depth with the strong shadows on the features of this building.

Like with Toby’s flashlight shot something people tend not to think about is lighting, or using lit, foreground subjects. I like this milky way shot and the yellow from the statue works well against all that blue.

Your framing here, the light - there is something that pulls me in and I love it.

I puzzled over this shot for a minute- I couldn’t understand where you got this large still water from - then I realized the fountains are OFF. I have never seen this shot and that's a awesome + this is a beautiful shot!

Roy’s Features:

While more of a classic shot it’s a great long exposure with the sunset. You exposed it just enough where the monument itself still has a bit of shadow detail with the lights hitting it.

A great city scape shot showing the monuments towering over town. I like that you went B&W as it focuses more on structure then the brightly colored city lights.

I like that you thought out of the box! It’s a neat shot but you can clone out those leaves in the corner.

Shooting in full sun isn’t necessarily a bad thing and this nice shot helps a ton with the haze coming in that day.
